National Teachers Hall of Fame Induction Week Begins Monday

The five career teachers in the National Teachers Hall of Fame Class of 2023 arrive in Emporia on Monday, June 12, for a week of activities that culminate in their induction into the hall. Several events later in the week are open to the public. This is the 31st year for the NTHF induction ceremonies.


ESU Theatre Presents new hit musical ‘Ride the Cyclone’

Emporia State University Theatre presents “Ride the Cyclone” by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell. Performances are scheduled for June 21, 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and June 25 at 2 p.m. in the Ronald Q. Frederickson Black Box Theatre, in Roosevelt Hall.


NTHF Washington, D.C., and Emporia Induction Activities

The five career teachers in the National Teachers Hall of Fame Class of 2023 traveled recently to Washington D.C., to participate in the first part of induction ceremonies. The Emporia induction activities will begin June 12.





New Emporia State University Nursing + Student Wellness Building Receives Historic Gift

Emporia State University has received the single largest gift in the history of the university. The Walter S. & Evan C. Testamentary Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee has generously awarded ESU a grant of $5 million for the construction of the Emporia State University Nursing + Student Wellness building.


ESU Model Resonates with Kansas Lawmakers

The ESU Model, which is action-oriented and data-driven, resonated with lawmakers in the Kansas Statehouse.
