Second Career Closet Opens Thursday

Film Exploring WWI Poster Propaganda to be Shown

To commemorate the centennial of the United States entering World War I on April 6, 1917, Emporia State University’s Special Collections and Archives presents the film “War on the Wall: Allied Poster Propaganda of World War I.”




Applications Accepted for ESU JumpStart Kansas Entrepreneurs

Emporia State University is currently accepting applications for small business grants disbursed by the Kansas Department of Commerce for a program called “JumpStart Kansas Entrepreneurs.” Along with receiving the grant, awardees will be able to participate in the ESU JumpStart Incubator.


Writing Project Awarded Two Grants

Teachers depend on a variety of methods and tools to help students learn. One of most important items in an educator’s tool box is writing — how to do it and how to teach others to do it. To that end, the Flint Hills Writing Project, based at Emporia State University, recently was awarded two grants totaling $35,000 from the National Writing Project.


Friends of the Plains Host Cattle Trail Experts
