After three semesters, the work of interns in Emporia State’s Studio E advertising collective is more visible. “Growing together” is the mantra, according to director Rosalie Krenger, who often is the first point of contact for businesses considering Studio E’s services.



Schneider Receives ESU's Highest Faculty Honor

Dr. Gregory Schneider is a professor with high standards who pushes his students to excel. He is nationally recognized for significant contributions to modern U.S. history. He is respected for giving his time and talents to Emporia State through service on Faculty Senate and other campus committees.




New director Dennis Turney brings ‘Romeo & Juliet’ to ESU Theatre April 24-27

The final show of the 2018-2019 theatre season at Emporia State University is William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” Dennis Turney, who joined the ESU Theatre faculty last August, is making his directorial debut on the Bruder Theatre stage with this production that uses Shakespeare’s First Folio text. First published in 1623 — a few years after Shakespeare’s death, most consider the First Folio to be the most authentic version of the script as it was first performed by Shakespeare’s company.


Oscar Winner to Headline Great Plains Dinner

Award-winning writer and director Kevin Willmott will be the keynote speaker for the 2019 Friends of the Plains Dinner on Friday, April 26. As a writer on the Spike Lee film “BlacKkKlansman,” Willmott won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay at last month’s Academy Awards.
