EMPLOYEE TUITION AND FEE WAIVER

Effective: August 15, 2024

Purpose: To outline the requirements for eligible employees to receive reduced tuition and fees as an employment benefit.

Scope: This policy applies to all University employees in benefit eligible positions who are employed at least fifty percent (50%) time.

Responsible Office: Human Resources

Policy Statement: University employees in benefit eligible positions employed at least fifty percent (50%) time enrolled in courses will receive a waiver of the campus privilege fees for whatever number of hours are taken. Employees will be assessed tuition at the per credit hour rate up to the full-time campus tuition rate. The tuition assessed at the per hour rate and the fee waiver is applicable only during the employee's appointment.

Definitions: All words and phrases shall be interpreted utilizing their plain meanings unless otherwise defined in another University or Board of Regents policy or by statute or regulation.

Procedures: All procedures linked and related to the policies above shall have the full force and effect of policy if said procedures have first been properly approved by the University’s administrator in charge of Human Resources.
