7.02 PARKING
Effective: December 11, 2024
Purpose: To outline the availability of and processes and requirements for parking on the University campus.
Scope: This policy applies on University property campus wide.
Responsible Office: Police and Safety
Policy Statement: Parking on campus is available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Areas on campus may be designated for certain types of parking such as handicap accessible parking, dedicated special use, employee or guest parking, 30-minute loading/unloading zones, and parking reserved for on-campus student housing.
Warnings or citations may be issued for violations of parking regulations. A petition for review of a ticket may be completed at ESU Police and Safety Office.
The Parking Dept. is responsible for parking enforcement Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Police and Safety is responsible for parking enforcement 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Definitions: All words and phrases shall be interpreted utilizing their plain meanings unless otherwise defined in another University or Board of Regents policy or by statute or regulation.
Procedures: All procedures linked and related to the policies above shall have the full force and effect of policy if said procedures have first been properly approved by the University’s administrator in charge of Campus and Facilities.
