4.16 PROCEDURES FOR FACULTY/STAFF EVALUATION OF ADMINISTRATORS
Effective: August 15, 2024
Purpose: For the regular evaluation of Emporia State University administrators in their professional roles.
Scope: This policy applies to all University faculty and staff.
Responsible Office: Academic Affairs; President’s Office
Policy Statement: The Faculty Senate Executive Committee has the responsibility for implementing a procedure to solicit faculty input regarding senior administrators at Emporia State University.
Pursuant to this policy, each administrator shall be evaluated at least once every four (4) years. When an administrator is retiring within the year, a review is not required. Upon a reasonable request by an administrator to the Committee on Campus Governance, the review may be postponed upon application and approval by the Faculty Senate Executive Committee.
Definitions: All words and phrases shall be interpreted utilizing their plain meanings unless otherwise defined in University or Board of Regents policy or by statute or regulation.
Procedures: All procedures linked and related to the policies above shall have the full force and effect of policy if said procedures have first been properly approved by the University’s administrator in charge of Academic Affairs.
