GUESTS IN CLASS

Effective: August 15, 2024

Purpose: To outline the requirements for guests to attend classes.

Scope: This policy applies to the University campus wide.

Responsible Office: Academic Affairs

Policy Statement: With permission of the instructor, a person may be admitted to a class as a guest for not more than five (5) class meetings or one-third (1/3) of the total, whichever is less.

Definitions: All words and phrases shall be interpreted utilizing their plain meanings unless otherwise defined in another University or Board of Regents policy or by statute or regulation.

Guest - A person who is not enrolled, pays no fee, and typically wishes to attend only a part of the class meetings.

Procedures: All procedures linked and related to the policies above shall have the full force and effect of policy if said procedures have first been properly approved by the University’s administrator in charge of Academic Affairs.
