Early Childhood Unified
Master of Science
Current federal mandates and trends in public schools recognize the growing importance of early childhood special education services for children from birth through age eight and their families. If you work for this advanced training in this field, you will be in a favored position to usher in best practices for young children.
Elementary Content Concentration, Instruction Specialist
Master of Science (graduate)
The Instruction Specialist program is intended for you if you are a teaching practitioner in settings from early childhood through adolescence and young adulthood. If you are an educator intending to remain in a general education classroom or work as an instructional specialist/team leader in the school setting with specific content or topics, this program is for you.
Elementary Education
Bachelor of Science (undergraduate)
Early in our elementary teacher education program, you get to explore the teaching profession, issues in education, and the nature of children in the classroom through the Introduction to Teaching course. You will receive a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) degree when you complete these courses. You will also be recommended for a Kansas teaching certificate in elementary education, which qualifies you to teach kindergarten through sixth grade.
Elementary Education
Master of Science (graduate)
Designed for career changers who are interested in teaching elementary school, this program is suited for working professionals. With online courses and a clinical experience placement near you, you can earn a master’s degree without changing locations. In as little as two years, you will be eligible for an elementary education teaching license. When you finish your degree, you will enter the teaching profession at the master’s degree level on the pay scale.

High Incidence Concentration, Special Education
Master of Science (graduate)
Approximately 13 percent of all students enrolled in public schools in the U.S. received special education services. Many of these have what are considered high incidence disabilities, such as learning disabilities, emotional and/or behavioral disorders, mild cognitive disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. These students receive educational services across many different environments, but are best taught by special education teachers who understand their varied and specific needs.

We provide school districts with quality first-year elementary and secondary teachers. If a graduate of ours is deemed unsatisfactory, we provide mentoring and guidance through a plan to get the teacher performing up to the standard expected.

This highly customizable fully-online 35-credit hour online program is intended for you if you are a licensed K-6 teacher interested in STEM. This program is designed for classroom teachers and teacher leaders who want to enhance their knowledge of STEM education in elementary and middle schools.
STEM Elementary Education
Graduate Certificate Program
If you want to bring hands-on, engaging STEM instruction into your elementary classroom, while at the same time increasing your own content knowledge, consider our new certificate program. This 12-hour program is for classroom teachers and teacher leaders who desire enhanced knowledge of STEM education in elementary and middle schools and is appropriate for educators who already have a master’s degree or those who have not yet begun a master’s program.
