- Nyki provides site supervision for Art Therapy graduate students at ESU
- Nyki has a master’s degree in social work from Wichita State and a master’s degree in Art Therapy from Emporia State University.
- Nyki’s experience includes working with children and teens, adults, and those in crisis in various settings across the state of Kansas. Her current passions include providing therapy with students using art therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and mindfulness-based techniques. She has extensive training in trauma treatment and uses an attachment perspective to gain better understanding of students’ concerns. Nyki’s biofeedback training includes a certification in HeartMath™, a computer-based model utilized to track students’ heart rate while engaged in relaxation strategies.
- Nyki provides inclusive counseling and art therapy for students who may be experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, challenges with self-esteem/body image, adjusting to college, etc.
