Counseling Services Biofeedback Program
The Biofeedback Center teaches students techniques for stress management
Counseling Services Biofeedback Center
The Biofeedback Center teaches students many techniques for stress management and stress reduction. The principle of biofeedback is intention relaxation using several methods including Hand Warming (one’s temperature is measured while doing deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and visualization) and HeartMath™ (one’s pulse is monitored by an ear clip while intentionally reconnecting with one’s heart and regulating one’s breathing). These techniques can help with relaxation, mindfulness, reduction of test anxiety and insomnia.
