Inspire Future Educators with Emporia State University's Science Education Programs
What sets our programs apart
Are you ready to ignite a passion for science in the hearts of the next generation? Science Education at Emporia State University empowers you to become an inspiring and engaging science teacher, preparing students for futures as biologists, chemists, physicists and earth and space scientists.
Generous Scholarships
We invest in your future with $200,000 in scholarships awarded to science education students annually. Our SMaRT Kansas 21 program supports 100% of math and science BSE majors with a scholarship that covers more than half the amount of tuition and fees!
High Demand Career
As The Education Destination, Emporia State University offers you a credential that high school principals across the state instantly recognize and admire. As a science education graduate, you can teach in various science fields for middle and high school. Plus, you can easily add a second science field for versatility.
Exceptional Resources
Our students benefit from an array of resources and facilities for science teacher preparation. The Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center (PAROC) provides hands-on learning opportunities on campus and the Peterson planetarium offers interactive technology to delve into physics, earth science and astronomy.
In our program, you're not just a face in the crowd. With lower student-to-professor ratios, you’ll enjoy a more personal class experience.
