Bachelor of Science in Education, Mathematics Teaching Field
The Bachelor of Science in Education-Mathematics allows students to be licensed teachers of mathematics in grades 5-8 or 6-12. These programs will prepare students to excel in their teaching career with hands-on learning experiences in and out of the classroom.
How do you become a math teacher through ESU?
The teacher education program available for students is a joint responsibility of this department and the department overseeing middle and secondary education.
Degree requirements
There are three options for becoming a mathematics teacher.
- Secondary Mathematics Teaching (Grades 6-12)
- Middle-level Mathematics Teaching (Grades 5-8)
- Middle-level Mathematics Teaching with a BSE in Early Childhood & Elementary Education
