The School of Library and Information Management (SLIM) has several certificate programs to help you further your career. To be eligible for a certificate program, you must hold a master's degree or be currently enrolled in SLIM's Master of Library Science program.

Certificate Program

The Archives Studies certificate program is an 18-credit hour graduate certificate program through the School of Library and Information Management. The goal of the Archives Studies Certificate Program is to prepare students for a career in an archives or special collections setting.

eLearning continues to gain momentum and popularity in the corporate, military, and healthcare sectors, as well as in post-secondary and K-12 education. This certificate program provides online learning designers and teachers with research-based, best practices in online teaching and learning.

Health Information Professionals

Certificate Program

This 18-credit hour graduate program is offered entirely online and is intended for individuals interested in Health Information Science, with coursework in Informatics, Consumer Health Information, and Information Retrieval & Transfer.

The Informatics Certificate Program (IC) is an 18-credit hour certificate program through the School of Library and Information Management (SLIM) and Emporia State University’s Graduate Office. The goal of the Informatics Certificate Program is to prepare students for a career in an informatics setting.

The Leadership and Administration in Information Organizations Certificate Program (ASC) is an 18-credit hour certificate program through the School of Library and Information Management (SLIM) and Emporia State University’s Graduate Office.
