Step by step instructions for applying for Youth Services Certificate
Current SLIM MLS students (Be sure to choose CRT-Youth Services as your planned course of study)
Applicants for the Youth Services Certificate Program Only (MLS Received Elsewhere, or no MLS)
- Graduate Admissions Application (Be sure to choose CRT-Youth Services as your planned course of study)
- Students must submit official bachelor’s degree transcripts containing at least 60 credit hours of coursework and final grades. Any additional transcripts from college credit accumulated after the bachelor’s degree MUST be submitted if you will be using these credits for transfer credit or for last 60 GPA. Transcripts are considered official when they arrive in the Graduate Office in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution or are received through a secure electronic transcript service.
- Statement of objectives: This document should be a single-spaced, one-page narrative expressing your reasons for applying for this particular certificate program and your career goals
- Current résumé or curriculum vitae. Please include the names and contact information for two references (preferably, one academic- and one employment-related)
- A pre-acceptance interview may be scheduled at the discretion of the Certificate Coordinator
Submitting Application Materials
The following items must be provided/completed at the time of application submission through the Application Portal:
- Unofficial bachelor's degree transcript
- Current résumé or curriculum vitae
- Statement of objectives
- Two letters of recommendation or the names and emails of two recommenders
- Copy of government-issued ID
Official transcripts
