There are many different ways to study abroad!
- Faculty-led programs - short-term programs, anywhere from one week to over a month, where students travel with an ESU faculty member for academic purposes and obtain 1 to 6 credits, depending on the program.
- Semester programs - students may participate in a study abroad for the duration of a semester for a minimum of 12 credits (Fall or Spring). This can be through a partner school or through a third-party provider, such as ISEP.
- Year-long programs - Students may study abroad during a whole academic year; typically from Fall to Spring for a minimum of 12 credits each semester. This can be through a partner school or through a third-party provider, such as ISEP.
- Summer programs - Independent from faculty-led programs, students may choose to work with a provider to study abroad in the summer.
