A special speaker at Emporia State will share technological developments of the future and the security implications of our information age as part of National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
Steve Riat will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the Preston Family Room of ESU’s Memorial Union. His presentation, titled “Exponential Change,” will exemplify the motto for National Cyber Security Awareness Month — “The Internet is a shared resource, and securing it is our shared responsibility.”
An entertaining and motivating speaker, Riat speaks and facilitates seminars on technology, business growth and Cloud Solutions, along with communications services. He has more than two decades of business technology experience with contacts ranging from Microsoft, IBM, and other top-tier technology companies.
Refreshments will be served at the free event, and the first 50 to attend will receive a door prize.
