Research and Creativity Will Be Showcased on Thursday

Students share their research during the 2015 Research and Creativity Day.

Over 150 Emporia State students and faculty will participate in Research and Creativity Day on Thursday, April 28, in the Memorial Union.

Events begin at 9 a.m. with oral presentations by both undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate students will deliver “three-minute thesis” presentations beginning at 10 a.m.

At noon, an award and recognition ceremony will include the Phi Kappa Phi awards, announcement of graduate student scholarships and awards, and the ESU Summer Undergraduate Research Program Awards. Faculty who received research and creativity grants this spring will also be recognized.

Then, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the poster session featuring 115 presentations will be in Webb Hall. The public is invited to the oral presentations and post session.

The annual event is sponsored by ESU’s Research and Grants Center, the Honors College and Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities Committee.
