Interfaith Dialogue Explains Different Viewpoints

A forum with representatives of different faith-based groups will work to increase knowledge to promote understanding.

The Interfaith Dialogue at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27, is a United for Peace event sponsored by the ESU Office of International Education. It will be in Webb Hall on the first floor of ESU’s Memorial Union.

The representatives will share their views on topics of unity and peace, including individualism versus collectivism, mercy and compassion, care for the needy and justice. The forum will be moderated by Dr. Gonzalo Bruce, dean of international education.

Scheduled panelists and faiths represented include: Pastor Jason Huebner, Christian evangelical; the Rev. Dr. Dinah Dutta, Hindu; Dr. Abdelilah Sehlaoui, Islam; Dr. Jacob Stutzman, Judaism; Dr. Satvir Singh, Sikh; and a representative of Catholicism.

The event is free and open to the public with refreshments compliments of the Office of International Education.
