The Locard Society of Forensic Science, a student organization at Emporia State, is collecting items for the Emporia Animal Shelter during trick-or-treating on Rural Street. This is the fourth year the group has used the city event to help others.
The students ask those coming to trick or treat on Rural Street on Thursday night, Oct. 31, to bring these items and leave them at the tables at 12th Avenue and Rural Street, by the barricades:
- Kitty Litter (clumping and non-clumping)
- Kitten Milk Replacement Powder (KMR)
- Laundry Detergent
- Bleach
- Cat Toys
- Dog Toys (stuffing free if possible)
- Cat Treats
- Dog Treats
- Dishwasher Detergent
- Hand Sanitizer
- Liquid dish soap
- Liquid Hand Soap
- 55 Gallon Trash Bags
- Tall Kitchen Trash Bags
- Blankets
- Towels
- Dog and cat beds
All items will be given to the Emporia Animal Shelter.
