Dr. Connie Schrock will serve a four-year term on the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics board beginning as the President-elect and becoming President at the end of the April 2017 NCSM Annual Conference. She will serve on the NCSM Executive Committee and on the Conference Committees for the next four years. She will prepare a list of nominees for the appointed Board Positions to take office in April 2017. As president she will lead a board of directors which includes 13 elected members and 22 appointed positions.
Schrock is currently a professor of mathematics at Emporia State University, teaching a variety of mathematics course for undergraduate and graduate mathematics students. She has been the recipient of multiple grants including two from NSF and five Math-Science Partnerships.
This will be Shrock's third term on the NCSM Board. She has served the organization as the C2 Regional Director and as second and first vice president directing the Annual meeting in Boston 2015. She was the chair of the writing team for NCTM’s "Great Tasks"which was published in 2013.
