Emporia State University Special Collections and Archives invites the campus and community to events in celebration of October as American Archives Month. All events will take place in the Exhibit Hall outside Room 119 of William Allen White Library.
A number of special events are planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the May Massee Collection of children’s literature materials held in Emporia State University’s Special Collections and Archives.
Two authors who live on opposite coasts of the United States will come to Kansas in October to accept the 2022 William Allen White Children’s Book Awards. Voters in Grades 3 through 5 selected “Wildfire” by Rodman Philbrick. Voters in Grades 6 through 8 selected “The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise” by Dan Gemeinhart.
