ESU’s Together, Forward Fundraising Campaign Closed

At midnight on Dec. 31, Emporia State University’s comprehensive fundraising campaign, Together, Forward, officially ended. Gifts postmarked on or before Dec. 31 are still arriving, but the university can already report this has been the largest, most successful fundraising campaign in ESU history. The campaign surpassed its $75 million goal, and the final total will be publicly announced on Feb. 17, in conjunction with a celebration event for donors to the campaign.




ESU Campus & Foundation to Close During Holiday Break

The Emporia State University campus, including Sauder Alumni Center, will close for one full week at the end of this month. Campus will close at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, and reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.


Sauder Family, Scholarship Recipients Celebrated at Annual Luncheon

Because of the generosity of Earl W. Sauder, a devoted fan and supporter of Emporia State University, 51 Hornet student-athletes from each of ESU’s intercollegiate sports were honored at a luncheon on Nov. 16 as Earl W. Sauder Athletic Scholars for 2023-24.



New Jones Full-Ride Scholarships Aimed at Nursing, Education Majors

Emporia State’s new, full-ride scholarship opportunity for incoming freshmen majoring in education or nursing is the most recent in a long history of collaboration with the Jones Foundation. The new Jones Premier Nursing and Education Scholarship will fund up to six students per year who attend ESU to eventually work in two fields currently facing workforce shortages.



ESU Foundation Open to Accept Year-End Gifts

Given that many donors choose to make a gift during the month of December, ESU Foundation Staff will be available on call Dec. 27 through 31, and the Sauder Alumni Center, 1500 Highland St., will be open on Dec. 27 and 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
