All buildings on the Emporia State campus will be closed Sunday, May 19, so Westar employees can perform maintenance and repairs to the substation located on the campus. Buildings will re-open for business on Monday.
Preparation for the outage work will also have crews closing sections of Highland Street during business hours Tuesday through Thursday. Depending on the day, the closings will affect Highland from 13th to 15th avenues as well as 14th Avenue between Highland and Market streets.
