Applied Sociology - Rural and Global Concentration

The rural and global concentration in Emporia State University’s applied sociology program explores how the influences of culture, religion, globalization, global problems and shifts in population affect development.

This program will help you develop a strong sense of how mico, meso and macro societal systems work and further develop your skills in critical thinking, research and more.

Graduates from the rural and global program go on to careers working with communities, non-profits, social action agencies, NGOs and government agencies.
