Complaints and Grievances
How to Report a Complaint
A formal complaint is a request for the resolution of a problem, conflict, concern or issue that negatively impacts students, faculty or staff. Formal complaints may include (but are not limited to) issues regarding classroom instruction, college policies, procedures, services and offices.
Academic concerns (such as appealing a grade) should follow the Academic and Grade Appeals processes included below for each ESU school or college.
Informal Resolution
Prior to filing a formal complaint, you are strongly encouraged to resolve any concern by talking with the administrator, faculty member, staff member, and/or their supervisor if necessary in an attempt to come to a resolution.
