Rachel Pedersen

2021-22 Outstanding Recent Graduate

Business owner and social media manager Rachel Pedersen (BS 2014-Communication) of Overland Park, Kansas, uses her degree to benefit her business, her community, and ESU.

Early in her career she coordinated major events and did freelance work for businesses and organizations. She has published numerous articles in HERLIFE magazine and on websites.

In 2017, she created The Period Project, to collect thousands of feminine hygiene products for high-school girls who had little access to them. She and her husband Jordan coordinated a nine-week Dave Ramsey financial course at their church. She used social media to create and manage The Bible Club on Facebook and Instagram.

After becoming debt-free in 2019, Pedersen established Three Pennies, a business to help others live debt-free. She frequently appears on area television programs and offers one-on-one coaching, e-books, and speaking engagements.
