Rylee Hendrikse
2022 Distinguished Senior
Rylee Hendrikse, from Olathe, Kansas, maintained a 3.84 cumulative GPA while being active on campus and in her community.
She was an active Ambassador for Emporia State University, giving numerous campus tours to prospective students and alums. Rylee served as Student Foundation Chair, leading the committee during their highest fundraising year to date. She was also a member of SPURS and Kappa Delta Pi and Delta Alpha Pi honors societies. Rylee served as a member of the Memorial Union Board of Directors Committee and the Academic Appeals Committee for The Teachers College.
In her community, Rylee served as a volunteer for Congregation Beth Torah. She also remains a strong advocate for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, volunteering numerous hours each year to fundraise for the annual Take Steps Walk. Rylee has been a camp counselor at Camp Oasis and assisted with social media design for the Arkansas, St. Louis, and Kansas City chapters of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Honors + Awards
Rylee was an ESU Change Maker and a Presidential Scholar. She earned distinctions of Traditions Keeper and was a bronze and silver awardee in Kappa Delta Pi for her service points and activity in the organization. Rylee was named to The Teachers College Dean’s List all four years and was an ESU First-Year Scholar.
