Jaylie Postlewait
2022 Outstanding Senior
Jaylie Postlewait maintained a 3.87 cumulative GPA and was involved in numerous activities and organizations while on campus.
Originally from Olathe, Kansas, Jaylie was a volunteer for her local Salvation Army, building boxes for food distribution drives and serving as a translator for the Hispanic community. She serves as a mentor to high school students through the Leadership Olathe program and has worked with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Jaylie coordinated the Out of Darkness Walk for the Greater Kansas City Chapter and helped to advocate for support of suicide prevention resources.
During her time at ESU, Jaylie was a member of E-Team, helping to facilitate Black and Gold Day activities, Hornet Connection, E-Experience, and freshman orientations. During her freshman year, she joined Tri Sigma sorority and held numerous leadership positions. She was a student associate for the United Methodist Campus Ministry where she co-led a devotion time and worship service for college students.
Honors + Awards
Jaylie received the John C. Lehman Scholarship and was awarded the Love Award through Tri Sigma. She was on the Dean’s List for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and received Scholastic Honors all four years. She was a Presidential Scholar and was an ESU First-Year Scholar.
