Emporia State University Premedical Fellowship

For incoming students following the premedical track to prepare for med school

Emporia State University Premedical Fellowship

A number of medical professionals who are ESU alumni and friends came together in 2017 with a shared goal: to recruit exceptional incoming freshmen and support them in their pursuit of being admitted to medical school. Through their generous giving, the Premedical Fellowship was born. One successful applicant will receive a prestigious $10,000 fellowship, payable as $2,500 per year for four years, so long as they remain on the premedical track and maintain full-time academic status with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. The fellowship includes a paid clinical internship in the summer following their junior year.

*Total financial aid + stackable scholarships shall not exceed the total cost of attendance.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • be an incoming ESU freshman.
  • have declared their intention to follow the premedical track for preparation for medical school (M.D. or D.O.).

*Kansas students are given first preference in selection
