Pre-Law
Prepare for law school
Pre-Law
Emporia State University’s pre-law program allows you to choose a path based on your interests that prepares you for a future in the legal profession.
Major in whatever subject you’re passionate about while working with a pre-law advisor to develop the skills and experiences you need to get into law school and have a successful start to your legal career.
Choose Your Path
You can choose any major that suits your skills in interests in the pre-law program. Popular pre-law majors include history + government, communication, English, sociology, applied criminology and history, but there is no required major to be part of the pre-law program or be accepted into law school.
Combined with your undergraduate major, the pre-law program could prepare you for a career as a copyright lawyer, general counsel, prosecutor, law educator, public defender, judge and more.
