Who can make a report to the CARE Team?

Every member of the Emporia State University community has a responsibility to bring incidents or behaviors of concern to the attention of the CARE Team.

What should be reported?

Any behavior which would make a reasonable person ask “Should I report this to the CARE Team” needs to be reported.

Should I report the situation or handle it myself?

Both may be appropriate. Even if the incident has been resolved, it may be an indicator of a larger problem. Providing information to the Team may help prevent escalation of the concerns.

When should I report?

Concerning behaviors can be reported to the Team at any time. The earlier these concerns are brought to the Team’s attention, the more effectively the Team can assist the students involved.
