Ken Hush, ESU President
Emporia native Ken Hush served as Interim President of Emporia State University from November 17, 2021, until he was named the 18th president on June 22, 2022, by the Kansas Board of Regents.
Hush graduated from Emporia State University in 1982 with a double major in Business Administration and Marketing with a minor in Psychology. While at ESU, he competed on the nationally ranked men’s tennis team and was inducted into the ESU Athletics Hall of Honor in 1995. He previously served as chairman of the ESU Foundation Board of Trustees and on the Wichita State University Board of Trustees.
Prior to assuming his current role, Hush served as CEO of BLI Rentals, as president and in several executive roles at Koch Minerals and Carbon and as General Manager and Director at Senior Commodity Company.
Hush loves spending time with his family and friends. He is a proud father of daughter Rachael, son-in-law Pat, two granddaughters, and daughter, Gillian all residing in Michigan.
