Title IX Training + Mandatory Reporters
Training + Mandatory Reporters
All University employees (including student employees), with the exception of those who are specifically designated as Confidential Resources, are Responsible Employees (“Mandated Reporters”). All Responsible Employees must promptly share with the Title IX Coordinator all known details of an incident of harassment or discrimination that was provided to them. Failure of a Responsible Employee to report an incident of harassment or discrimination is a violation of University policy and can be subject to disciplinary action for failure to comply.
Training
All employees, including but not limited to faculty, staff, Graduate Assistance, Graduate Teaching Assistance, and Residential Life Student Employee, are required to take annual training on Title IX and Mandatory Reporting. All new employees will be required to take this training within the first month of employment. Currently ESU uses Catharsis Productions ( Catharsis Productions: Title IX Training to Prevent Sexual Assault ) to provide this training.
Sexual Assault Awareness Training is one of the many trainings provided to new students at Emporia State University. Catharsis Productions is the company used to train new students on Title IX related topics.
Below is the most recent training ESU Grievance Process members have received.
