Information on Title VI and Title VII
Commonly referred to as Title VI and Title VII, ESU prohibits discrimination and harassment for classes protected under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other laws that protect discrimination and harassment. University policies and procedures for allegations of Title VI and Title VII violations make available both an informal and formal resolution process.
Protected groups under this policy include race, ethnicity, age, color, religion, marital status, national origin, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, parental status, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, ethnicity, or any other factors which cannot lawfully be considered.
Allegations of sexual misconduct, including harassment or discrimination based on sex, gender stereotypes, or sexual violence, are handled through the Title IX process.
