Feltner Student Union Square
Feltner Student Union Square
Emporia State University is excited to share the newly reimagined and renovated square. This outdoor area has been transformed to make it a more attractive and enjoyable outdoor space for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors. Complete with lounge-type seating, a water feature and green spaces, the new Feltner Student Union Square is a jewel in the center of campus for all to enjoy.
Completed in the fall of 2023, Feltner Student Union Square was made possible by the generosity of Dr. Raymond “Ray” and Robyn Feltner. Dr. Raymond “Ray” L. Feltner is a 1960 alumnus of ESU. He served as an administrator for the USD 229 Blue Valley School District. He and his spouse, Robyn Feltner, both have a heart for education and for helping students. While touring campus, the Feltners decided to do something different for students and the university. They envisioned transforming Union Square into a beautiful and usable space. Emporia State is grateful to the Feltners for their desire to create a more attractive and enjoyable outdoor space. Generations of Hornets will enjoy their generosity.
