Introduction to American Society
This course is an introduction to the university and its policies, immigration regulations, university facilities, and their purposes, the Emporia community, and selected important aspects of the American society. There will also be lectures by university and community specialists.

All students enrolled in SS 150 will have an account in Blackboard and will use Blackboard to complete their assignments.

To get started, here are instructions for logging into your account.
- Open Explorer or Netscape browser.
- Type in the URL: http://elearning.emporia.edu/
- Click on the LOGIN button.
- Enter your username, which is your full last name and the last four digits of your ID number.
- Enter your temporary password, which is "12345".
- Click on the PERSONAL INFORMATION link.
- Click on the CHANGE PASSWORD link.
- Change your password to something only you would know. Memorize it and do not reveal it to anyone.
